Noel Diem joined the MakeMusic team in 2025 as the Senior Growth Marketing
Manager, bringing a career’s worth of storytelling to the music ed-tech space. A
former middle school English teacher and a lifelong "theater kid," she spent
several years in the software world learning how to scale big ideas and translate
complex tech into human stories.

Ultimately, the pull of the classroom was too strong. Joining MMC allowed her to
take those high-level marketing skills and point them back toward her true north:
helping kids learn. When she isn’t brainstorming ways to support music directors,
you can usually find her in the front row of a theater, probably humming the
score.

How I Think About Music Ed

"I’ve always believed that literacy is about more than just reading books—it’s about decoding the world around us. Music is a profound form of literacy. It requires a student to listen as intensely as they speak, and to find a place for their own voice within a collective sound. It’s the ultimate lesson in what it means to be human."
